What Most DON'T Know About The Fragrance Industry

Why we only use Non-denatured Ethanol (specifically Organic Food Grade Ethanol) in our fragrances:
Easy. It doesn't contain toxins and harmful, unnecessary additives. It's pure, and safe for the skin and body.
Allow me to share something the general public may not know when it comes to fragrances.
Denatured alcohol, which is what most perfumes contain (including “designer brands”), was introduced in the European perfume houses in the 1890's. It was meant to combat the drunkenness that plagued Europe and parts of America at that time with bitter tasting elements. It was written about as a new ‘fashion trend’ to consume Eau de Cologne. Yes, people were drinking colognes for the purpose of becoming inebriated (intoxicated).
Denatured alcohol refers to alcohol products adulterated with toxic and/or bad tasting additives (e.g., methanol, benzene, pyridine, castor oil, gasoline, isopropyl alcohol, and acetone), making it unsuitable for human consumption.

For instance, ingesting as little as 10 mL (0.34 US fl oz) of pure methanol can cause permanent blindness by destruction of the optic nerve. Ingesting 30 mL (1.0 US fl oz) is potentially fatal. In the case of benzene, which is a component of gasoline and has a sweet smell, was used by the Nazi and administered via injection as one of their many methods for killing.
Why on Earth would anyone use any of these chemicals in perfumes and colognes or anything absorbed by the body, ever?
